Platzl Hotels success story: more employees and investments

In 2024 in particular, the company has positioned itself strongly for the future with new investments in building modernizations in the low double-digit million range. The 15 new suites in the Pfistermühle have been newly developed and furnished to offer guests exactly the comfort they want for a very special stay in Munich. The special feature: the interior design tells the story of the historic building and brings this to life, with Bavarian shell limestone, clay plaster, chamois-tanned leather, hand-forged nails and more. The lobby and Josefa Bar have also been rearranged and modernized.
What is the secret recipe of the Platzl Hotels?
The guest feedback on the new suites is already impressive and ranges from “how everything has been thought through” to “beautiful and perfectly furnished” and “the hotel is simply wonderful”. So what is the Platzl Hotels' secret recipe? Heiko Buchta says: “We have character and at the same time we are attentive enough to listen carefully and see what our guests want. Today and tomorrow. That is one of the reasons why we have invested substantially this year and last year in precisely those areas where we see our future and that of our guests.”
An important building block for satisfied guests at the Platzl Hotels is also a motivating and supportive atmosphere for employees. In the latest employer ranking by the SZ Institut in cooperation with the employer rating platform kununu, Platzl Hotels came third out of 750 companies across Germany. “Even more than the many awards for our HR concept, our growing number of employees proves how successful we are as a company as a whole. I am proud of that, and every member of our workforce can be proud of that: We are the Platzl Hotels!”
In 2025, the Platzl Hotels will continue to invest heavily in staff training and development, for example at an internal talent festival. The elevators and conference area will also be further modernized.
